Late King of pop, Michael Jackson performed at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, debuting the new song, “Slave to the Rhythm.”
The history-making performance where the late Michael Jackson appeared via hologram wearing gold jacket, white T-shirt and brick red trousers on a set modeled on the art work for the album “Dangerous”,was done using cutting-edge technology making it seem as if the pop star was actually on stage.
The performance was the result of nearly half a year of planning, choreography and filming, not to mention the development of new technology. Producers of the Billboard Music Awards did not see even a portion of the film until eight days before the broadcast, says BBMA director and producer Larry Klein. “It was really strange talking about something that did not exist.”
The track is off Jackson’s new posthumous album, XCAPE which also features the title song and a duet with Justin Timberlake, “Love Never Felt So Good“.
