May7ven, 13 Female African Artistes Collaborate on New Single, “Sistas Unite”

Following the unfortunate kidnap of young girls in Chibok, Borno state in the northern part of Nigeria by dreaded terrorist sect, Boko Haram and the failure of the government to get the girls released, 14 female African artists in a collaborative charity have released a single titled “Sistas Unite”,  reports Nigerian Tribune.

Ezi Emela, Shiikane, Amal Fashanu, Ada Snoop, Mrs Melodey, Honey B, Faye Roux, Vicky Sola, Zafi B and more have joined May7ven on “Sistas Unite” to not only address the current state of Nigeria, but also promote female empowerment, bring hope and raise the profile of women by becoming united.

May7ven (in London) in a statement said, “very rarely do women collaborate or come together in music and other industries so I wanted to unite us and break boundaries with an all African female line up for a cause greater than ourselves.

The single which features for the first time ever, female artistes who have united to bring forth a strong female anthem, was released globally on Thursday 29th May, 2104 to raise more awareness for the #BringBackOurGirls campaign, was produced by UK producer, Mictizzle Beatz and mixed by Osiki Ojo.
