#BringBackOurGirls Alive!!! Nollywood Marches for Chibok Girls

Stars in the Nigerian movie industry dubbed Nollywood, yesterday 29th May, took to the streets of Lagos in a protest over the kidnap of the Chibok girls by dreaded terrorist sect Boko Haram.

Thelma Okhaz, Mercy Aigbe, Ejiro Okurame, Tony Akposhere, Thelma Okas and members of other professional bodies including hairdressers and tailors led by Muma G and Chinedu Ikedieze all decided to celebrate their own Democracy day by voicing out their unhappiness over the kidnap of the girls and failure of the government to get the girls released till date.

Marching from Allen Avenue to Alausa Secretariat, the actors were met by the state House of Assembly Speaker, Hon Adeyemi Ikuforiji who assured them that the government was doing its best to get the girls released adding that the public might be unaware of efforts made to get the girls released but that the government was aware of its responsibilities.

esterday, Nollywood actors and actresses decided to join in the protests too, using the occasion of Nigeria’s Democracy Day to make their voices heard. Marching from Allen Avenue in Ikeja to the Alausa Secretariat, actors on the march apart from Mama G and Aki included Ejiro Okurame, Mercy Aigbe, Femi Ogedengbe, Thelma Okaz and Tony Akposhere.
