Six months since she was found unconscious in her bathtub, Bobbi Kristina’s cousin, Jerod Brown, has revealed that his 22-year-old cousin is lying in her hospice bed with a framed picture of her ‘guardian angel’ Whitney by her side.He spoke to Sunday Mirror and said there is really nothing to be done at this stage.
Jerod says: “Bobbi’s mum was her guardian angel, and she wanted to make her proud. That was her mission.
“I will never forget the last time I spoke to Bobbi. It was just three days before the incident and she was so excited. She wanted to release her first single, to get on with her own music projects for her mum.She was about to move to Los Angeles to make it as a singer. She had even cut down on the cigarettes she was smoking to protect her voice.”
But Bobbi’s positive front, he reveals, also masked a darker side.
“She was very depressed,” says Jerod. “She would call me often and say she was dealing with her mum. She would say, ‘She’s heavy on my heart’.
“We talked about suicide and I would talk her down from it, explain it wasn’t the right thing to do. I had been there myself, so I would talk to her about it and we would get her through it.I told her she had more to live for, and her mother wouldn’t have wanted that. But her mind was that of a depressed woman.Whitney was her best friend. They were together every day. Just before the incident she said her mother was visiting her in her dreams every night.”
On her state right now,he said she has been taken off medication and her body is slowly shutting down.
“There are so many tears in that room,“Bobbi lies there quietly. There is a bed for people to sleep in next to her so she isn’t on her own. My uncle Bobby doesn’t leave her side. He is being very strong.
“I like to think of Bobbi before this all happened.”“It can get emotional with everything going on, but they’re not feuding. Everyone is supporting one another.
One person not welcome in Bobbi’s room is Nick Gordon.
“Nick is being investigated but he isn’t the only one,” says Jerod. “But I don’t want to say he did anything wrong because we don’t know what happened.“All I will say is that we want to find out. There is a lot of mystery in this situation. I knew Nick. I was close to him and Bobbi and she would always tell me I could trust him.“The day after I last spoke to Bobbi, I called her but he answered her phone and said he would get her to call me back. But she didn’t.“I felt some bad vibes from my short conversation with him.”
