The 52-year-old saw off Joan Laporta on Saturday night and will serve at the helm for the next six years
Josep Bartomeu was officially unveiled as Barcelona president on Monday after winning the club’s election over the weekend.
Bartomeu received 54.63 per cent of the votes ahead of second placed Joan Laporta, meaning he will be in charge for the next six years.
The inauguration took place at the Palco President Sunol Camp Nou, with the 52-year-old accompanied by his entire team.
Jordi Calsamiglia, Enrique Tombas, Maria Teixidor, Emili Rousaud, Oriol Tomàs and Xavier Vilajoana have been confirmed as new additions to the club’s board.
